Anghiari

Anghiari, a medieval village, is set on the last of the hills which look down and keep a watch on the upper valley of the Tiber.
It dominates the valley from the top of a steep slope which after a few kilometres reaches Sansepolcro. Anghiari is part of a territory full of fields, woods and castles, to be travelled through in silence and worth discovering inch by inch.

HOW TO GET THERE
By car
Take the A1 motorway and exit at Arezzo. Continue on the SS73 for about 30 km.
For those coming from Perugia, Assisi and Cesena, take the E45 motorway, exit at
Sansepolcro.
For those coming from Rimini and San Marino, take the SS258 “Marecchiese”.
By train
Anghiari cannot be reached directly by train.
You have to go to Arezzo and continue by bus.
In autobus/By bus
From Arezzo:
- bus number 381C SITA
- bus number A from Banchetti.
Travelling time is about 50 minutes.

This institute, known all over the world, is specialized in woodwork and restoration of furniture and wooden artefacts. There are workshops for cabinet making, wood carving, lacquer work and gilding, marquetry and restoration.

The Libera Università dell’Autobiografia
Founded by Duccio Demetrio and Saverio Tutino in 1998, promotes the didactic use of autobiography: teaches to write one’s own life story and collect others’ life stories.
