This is a medieval building which is worth a visit if only for the rare 14th century frescoes which decorate some of the rooms.

The collections are divided into religious art and archaeology.
The religious art section includes notable
works from medieval Tuscany.
Ambrogio Lorenzetti, Maestro dell’Osservanza, Giovanni Pisano, Sano
di Pietro, a series of painted wooden sculptures, large canvases
from the 16th and 17th centuries, furniture, jewellery and church
vestments.
In the modern setting of the archaeological section, Etruscan and Roman settlements found in the area of Asciano and Rapolano are set out.
