The Museo della
Civiltà Contadina “Casa d’Erci” (museum of country life) is housed
in a farmhouse in Grezzano village.
It contains a considerable collection of typical material evidence
of farming and rural life in the Mugello.

The visitor will find many past activities well illustrated: as well
as those pertaining to agriculture, there are those connected with
spinning, weaving and washing clothes, crafts practised by
countrymen and the various skills of the carpenter, cartwright,
cooper, shoemaker, blacksmith and bricklayer.
The indoor replicas of a countryman’s home such as the bedroom, the
cellar and the kitchen, are worth seeing.

Outside there is a history-nature trail which shows the typical vegetation of the area and the change in the agricultural-forest landscape.
We also suggest a visit to the nearby Faini Mill where traditional millstones are still used in a water mill.
