Trequanda

The village of Trequanda

Of the walls that surrounded the village there are only a few parts left, and two of the original three gates. A third of the village is occupied by the Castle of the Cacciaconti, with a cylindrical tower on the corner (partly rebuilt) and an Italian style terraced garden.

In the main square there is the Church of Saints Pietro and Andrea, with a chequer board black and white façade.

Inside there is a fresco by Sodoma, a triptych by Giovanni di Paolo and a majolica from the Della Robbia school.
